We are leaving Skagway, Alaska for Whitehorse, Yukon in Canada. Just outside of the town the cell phone coverage dropped away. Before we even left Skagway, the internet dropped out. There is only one road out of Skagway; it's the same one we came in on. Then it was all downhill 3000 feet in 12 miles. Today we are going up the hill!
On the road to Whitehorse we saw several black bears ; one was huge. Every time I went to take his picture he lowered his head into the shrubs.
Whitehorse is a rather small town. We are staying at Country Roads RV Park. It is expensive but a nice set up. The laundromat had the newer high efficiency washing machines. Yeah! It doesn't take as long to do 7 loads ! We found a WalMart; it was a small one, but we were able to buy most of what we needed. Some of these small towns don't have what we are used to buying. The 1 thing we have really been missing is cinnamon graham crackers. We can't seem to find them anywhere. Boy are we missing them!!!
