Another month behind us and we had reservations to take Fjordland Express which is a powered Catarmaran down the Lynn Canal to Juneau. The Catararan was 65 foot and carried 49 people comfortably. The business was family owned and the owner was the Captain and his 16 year old daughter was the mate. Jacobson had been doing this for 20 years, raised his family with this service. This boat was built in 2000 in San Diego. Very nice

The trip was phenomenal, he was a encylpedia of information about the history and wildlife on this 60 mile trip. We seen numerous bald eagles, seals, sea lions, whales including 2 that breached (jumped out of the water). Plus we toured Juneau and went to the Mendenhall Glacier and witnessed that. Will blog several pictures of the trip following this.
