This picture is possible due to a large thermal pool on top of the hill that we went and seen, it puts out 4000 gallons a minute of boiling water which overflows into this river (appropriately called the Firehole river). The temp was about 34 degrees with no wind and snow flurries. Besides Iceland this is the only place on earth that you would see this.
