Beautiful trip, we rode the parlor car which was the last car in the train, it had the open bar. The engineer of the train, Joe, used to work for the Cumberland Scenic RR in Cumberland, Md and was a Western Maryland RR fan so I had a story to tell. He couldnt believe that I was the last Train Dispatcher on the roster and worked most of the towers on the old Western Maryland. Doug Beverage who used to work for me in Cincinnati runs the Cumberland Scenic RR and used to be his boss. He moved to Durango in 2003 and loves it and cant imagine working anywhere else.
